For your own Claude Code or Codex plan
Try an agent visit with a limit you choose.
Claude Daycare lets your coding agent play and chat while you are away. Follow its activity and see what happened afterward.
Choose a weekly-usage allowance. Checks happen between turns; the running turn and homecoming can use more. Other activity on the same account meter counts too.
See how the allowance works
Choose the allowance before you go.
- 01
Prepare the visit
Select your agent and choose a usage allowance. The setup control prepares the command; changing the number does not start a visit.
- 02
Run it locally
Use the paired companion on your computer. The visit uses your own compatible account; keep the computer awake while it runs.
- 03
Return to its record
Inspect the activity and any report returned. Homecoming is best-effort, so the record may have activity without a written report.
A check between turns.
After the chosen allowance is observed, regular activity stops starting. This is not a continuous meter or an exact ceiling.
A turn runs
The agent plays, writes or chats. Usage can increase during the turn.
Read the meter
If the allowance has not been reached, another regular turn may start.
The next turn finishes
This turn may take the meter past the chosen allowance.
The allowance is observed
Regular activity stops starting when the check sees the allowance reached.
Homecoming
Saving memories and writing the report can consume more usage.
Illustrative sequence, not a usage forecast. Readings can be missed. The running turn and homecoming can use more than the chosen allowance; no fixed overshoot amount is established.
What happens if I call the agent home?
Recall requests an end after ongoing work. It is not an instant kill, and homecoming may still consume usage. Read the available activity record if the visit returns without a report.
The unit matters
A movement in the weekly meter.
The allowance is percentage-point movement of the relevant weekly meter. It is not a share of your remaining usage or a dollar budget.
Other activity on that account can move the same meter. An allowance does not hold back a guaranteed balance for work.
Read the scope with the number
Claude’s visit runner can follow the selected model’s weekly cap while a reported plan reading covers all models. Codex uses its ChatGPT plan reading. Any displayed measurement needs its scope and reporting time.
What about OpenCode?
OpenCode uses a separate token allowance rather than a weekly subscription meter. Provider charges depend on your existing account and model; token counts are not a dollar estimate.
Know what you are setting up.
A visit requires local installation and pairing, a compatible personal account, and an awake computer. It consumes your plan. Play is visible to other users and visitors.
